DISTRICT 3 MINUTES – NOVEMBER 9, 2008

Present:        Bill L., Marijana, Hank N., Mary L., Chuck L., Candyce H. and Dan W.

Hank N. opened with the Preamble.   Chuck L. moved to accept the October minutes, Hank N. seconded.   All agreed.

Treasurer’s Report.         Dan W. presented the Treasurer’s Report.  Balance is $316.93  Bill L. moved to accept it; Mary L. seconded.  All agreed.

Committee Reports.        None.

GSR Reports:

1.     Mary L.         Wednesday night closed AA meeting doing well, 8-12 people.

2.     Marijana        SWRR.  Finished the group inventory; meeting has fluctuated in attendance – last week had only had six.

3.     Dan W.         Sunshine Group.  5-8 on average; going into the 3^rd year.

4.     Chuck L.        LaJara groups 8-12 people on average; doing well.  Newcomers come in, then leave after a month or so. 

5.     Hank N.        Creede – varied from 2 to 8 people – one newcomer.

Old Business

Chuck L. asked Marijana to be on the cooking/food committee for Serenity.  She accepted. 

Discussion regarding prices:  Suggested $15.00 as registration fee; meals $10.00 apiece or $30.00 for the entire weekend.  Chuck L. asked Mary L. if her friend Paula would do the flyer.  Serenity is August 14, 15 and 16.

New Business

Chuck L. moved to cancel December and January meetings due to holidays and weather.  Mary L. seconded.   All agreed.  

Web hosting – Bill L. dropped old site because they have no FTP program.  Network Solutions handles our URL – Bill signed up for one year because they have FTP program.

February meeting – 2^nd Sunday in February – February 8, 2009.
